The biggest "head wind" is a mountain of illegitimate (and likewise unpayable) debt burdening the trans-Atlantic economy in particular. It is defense of this debt, attempting to legitimize it (no? small portion of it having been amassed via fraud), engrained in political institutions where the true breakdown of politics is found.
